Eyre Peninsula offers a variety of lifestyles, from the multi-cultural, fishing and aquaculture-based city of Pt. Lincoln to small rural towns economically dependent on mixed cereal and livestock farming.
The coast is never far away and offers some of the best surfing, sailing, skin-diving, fishing and camping opportunities in Australia. A beach to yourself, if that is what you want, is a reality on Eyre Peninsula.

There are good educational facilities in most towns. Whyalla offers both a campus of the University of South Australia and the Spencer Gulf Rural Health School, while Pt. Lincoln has a marine science research and teaching facility run by Flinders University. There are numerous TAFE campuses around the Eyre Peninsula.
