The Eyre Peninsula Division of General Practice established a Practice Nurse Network in the latter part of 2002. The network aims to provide or facilitate, opportunities for peer group support, ongoing education and professional development and an awareness of regional, state and national professional news and events through both Divisional and government health avenues.
Nurses working in general practice receive our Prescription Plus monthly bulletin and are kept connected via an email network which acts as an information distribution list and peer support messaging board.

The Division is also active in the Nursing in General Practice program funded through General Practice South Australia (GPSA) which aims to assist with the capacity of Divisions of General Practice to support nurses in general practice with a focus on recruitment, retention and education of practice nurses.
